Pray for Las Vegas October 07 2017

It was clear as day. I had a dream that a mass shooting would take place. People were running and ducking for cover. We posted it on Facebook about 2 months ago and stressed that parents who have kids in public places like concerts, teach them an evacuation plan or what to do during a shooting so they don't panic.

When the Vegas incident took place, I could barely watch the news as it mirrored parts of my dream when one girl tearfully explained that they saw people run in the direction of the gun fire. In my dream, it was an open market area like Grand Central and there was more than one shooter who was watching the news activity during the shooting. We can't stress this enough, please pray for peace on our streets and calmness in our communities, teach your kids what to do if there's gun violence, and please pray for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting.

Harden Not Your Hearts...

On Facebook, while a lot of people were praying, there were also a lot of bitter people posting messages like it was okay for the shooting to take place or they were happy there was something that happened to Republicans, or white people or anyone that loves Trump. That is unacceptable. In a dream the other night, Father God gave me a very clear message, "When you don't show mercy, you don't receive mercy."

While a person might feel bitterness over how their community might be treated or how they are ostracized, that's something to go to God about in prayer. God is the one who allows tests to strengthen you. God is the one who puts you through the fire so you can become fire-proof. That's why it's important to read your Bible and understand how Jesus was persecuted and yet He stayed focused on His assignment and showed unconditional love.

You see, this cunning devil wants you to become bitter, not better. He wants you to say, "That'll show them!" or feel anger and resentment over how you were treated by someone else, so you can then what? Get back at them so they can hurt like you hurt? No, that is absolutely wrong. Jesus taught us to show unconditional love for one another. Bless those that curse you and pray for those that spitefully use you, (Luke 6:28). No matter what you've gone through, when you see a tragedy like what took place in Las Vegas, harden not your hearts, but pray for those affected and let us learn to grow closer in love one for another.

Prayer: Father God in the name of Jesus, Lord we humbly pray for the victims in the Las Vegas shooting and we pray for their family and friends and all first responders. This was a horrific and tragic incident. We pray first for those affected that are no longer here. Please be with their families as they grieve this tragic loss.

Next, we pray for the victims as there were over 500 that were shot and harmed. We pray for their healing. Dr. Phil said they have about 30- to 60-days before post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) kicks in and we pray that they don't develop this, but that if they do, they seek help right away.

We also pray for the first responders and those that volunteered to help. Lord, bless those that were on the front lines and rushed in to save the lives of over 20,000 people. We add to our prayers that we don't take on the spirit of anxiety and we are anxious for nothing. Help us Lord to safely go in public places without feeling fear or jumping at every sound. Help us not to live in fear locked in our homes because you don't give us the spirit of fear, but we have a sound mind through you.

Lastly, we pray for anyone that has a hard heart right now, for anyone that is bitter over how they've been treated in their own circumstances because we know that's the devil trying to affect them with the spirit of offense. Let them confess that, turn to you, and ask Jesus to heal their hearts. We're in a world where the devil is doing all he can to try to divide the church and get people in fear, but we walk in love because we know that perfect love casts out all fear. We praise you and love you, Lord and we are fearless in this world because Jesus already overcame it! Thank you for saving us, in Jesus' most precious name and blood, amen.

The Prayer of Salvation

If you haven't said the Prayer of Salvation, now's the perfect time: Father God in the name of Jesus, Lord, I ask forgiveness of my sins. Please come into my heart. I turn my back on sin and I make you my Lord and Savior. I want to follow you for the rest of my life. Please give me eternal life through you in Jesus name, amen.

Re-dedication to Christ Prayer

If you need to rededicate your life to Christ because you feel like you've been sinning or haven't been living right, pray: Father God in the name of Jesus, I ask forgiveness of my sins and I turn my back on sin. Please help me to overcome ---- and I want to lead a better life through you. I decree and declare this day I have overcome ---- and I have the victory in Jesus name, amen.

Stay in God's shadow, stay away from sin and temptation, keep reading your Bible and keep seeking God first.
