Trump Hits Back Against DOJ Filing, Hunter Biden FBI Agent on Laptop Case Resigns August 31 2022

Trump slams DOJ's filing opposing 'special master,' allegation he tried to 'obstruct' probe: 'I Declassified!'

President Trump responded to the DOJ after his request for a "special master" to review his Mar-a-Lago documents citing that he had "declassified" the materials.

In the Justice Department's 40-page response, they opposed appointing a special master for the review saying Trump "lacks standing" because the records are US property, not his. In addition, the DOJ filing is also implying that the documents were "concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation."

In his response on Truth Social Wednesday, the President said described the "terrible" and that the FBI "during the Raid of Mar-a-Lago, threw documents haphazardly all over the floor (perhaps pretending it was me that did it!), and then started taking pictures of them for the public to see. Thought they wanted them kept Secret? Lucky, I Declassified!"

Trump reacted to Merrick Garland’s memo to personnel. It reiterated the DOJ’s policy that all communications to Congress go through the Office of Legislative Affairs.

The Garland memo comes right after whistleblower claims that Sen. Chuck Grassley, (R-Iowa) said within the FBI, there's a "deeply rooted political infection."

"Congratulations to the many FBI & DOJ Whistleblowers who have flooded the offices of our Senators & Congressmen/women with really bad things to say about what is going on. This is the time, after many years of lawbreaking & unfairness, to clean things up. All things for a reason. DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!" President said on Truth Social.

What's alarming about the illegal raid is the FBI agent Timothy Thibault who worked on the Hunter Biden probe resigned. Some have suggested he also allegedly pressured other employees to pad data on domestic terror data and draw accusations of politicizing the agency from Republicans.

In bolstering Domestic Violent Extremism (DVE) case counts, they could satisfy “performance metrics.” That's based on whistleblower allegations from July according to Breitbart News. Thibault and his fellow agents would allegedly push colleagues into reclassifying DVE cases even without meeting certain criteria, the site reported.

Thibault, the former assistant special agent resigned Friday after Republicans made allegations that he had a political bias connected to the Biden laptop investigation.

DVE defines a person “without direction or inspiration from a foreign terrorist group or other foreign power who seeks to further political or social goals wholly or in part through unlawful acts of force or violence.” Allegations that it was Thibault who pressured others into increasing the DVE cases was given to Breitbart by Jim Jordan, (R-Ohio).

FBI Director Christopher Wray gave testimony back in June 2021. He said the Bureau has a “very, very active domestic terrorism investigation program,” Jordan said in his July letter to the director, requesting a DVE probe for the alleged data padding.

“These whistleblower allegations that the FBI is padding its domestic violent extremist data cheapens actual examples of violent extremism. This information also reinforces our concerns—about which we have written to you several times—regarding the FBI’s politicization under your leadership,” said Jordan.
