How to Block the Spirit of Offense February 09 2022
WARNING ABOUT WORDS: Please be very careful in this season with "offending words". People are trying to offend and it's all over the news. They're calling people names, attacking their character, and using words that are highly offensive and downright ignorant and pretending it's nothing or didn't happen to catch you off-guard and quickly offend you to get you in the flesh. This is a sabotaging attack of the enemy to try to block your blessing and it happened to me.
I had people on the job that liked to attack with words. One day a coworker said something so offensive but in a subtle way. "Incoming!!!!!" I was highly offended and appalled. They tried to suggest something so offensive that it just made no sense. It was my first day on my new job and I was sitting at my desk to eat lunch. I took out my multivitamins and reached for my bottle of water when my coworker said loudly (so others could hear), "Do you have something that we need to know about?" My mouth flew open in shock. It offended me deeply because I'd just met this girl. I had to watch my words carefully and said something like "Ahh, they're multivitamins. You're supposed to take them with food. Is that okay with you?" As I sat silently eating, I got into prayer, and I could hear the Holy Spirit ministering to me to rebuke the words and rebuke their personalities. But why does this matter? It's strategic, so you don't block your own blessings.
Remember, we're entering into a season of blessings, but the devil will try to block your blessing by causing you to have a spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, resentment, and offenses. Hence, be very careful. I know this is the season we're in because around the time when we did the writeup on this, the Holy Sprit woke me up with the reminder, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do," and to send a reminder to you to not take on the spirit of offense. Put on the whole armor of God with love so you can rebuke these attacks. The devil is a liar and we have the victory!
As a side note, I also hear God saying "Remember 9:30 pm." God doesn't want us staying up until 2:30 am when Jezebel, witchcraft and the demonic are active. Father God wants us in bed at 9:30 pm, no later than 1:00 am. That way we can get up early, pray to God, sing to Him and usher in His presence. It's also beneficial to read your Bible MORE to block these offenses.
Who has offended you?
So who did it? Was it someone on Facebook? The Democrats? The Republicans? Someone on your job? People in your church? A classmate? Your spouse? A parent? Your child? A sibling? A neighbor?
The Bible says, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man and the end thereof is destruction." If people are offending you, you've likely built up a wall to protect yourself, but in order to receive the blessings God has for you in this new season, you MUST guard your heart, yes. BUT also pray to remove the spirit of offense (Psalm 31:8, 15) because God can't bless what doesn't mirror Him. Sin separates us from God. This is what happened to David, Joseph, Abel, Hannah and Jesus, to name a few!
They each had very jealous and manipulative people in their lives that treated them unfairly. But why? The devil is the accuser of the brethren and can see the calling on your life, so he tries to cause you to give up, so you won't GET UP and come after him! People who have a back door open can give access to the devil who comes in with offenses, bitterness and all kinds of attacks. The goal? To get you offended so your blessings are blocked (Mark 11:22-26) and you can't hear God. But God doesn't want us bitter. He wants us better.
Don't be afraid when they yell, throw tantrums, try to cause fear, try to act like they're in control or lie and try to manipulate you. Rebuke them folks! Come out from among them, from among him, or her, (anyone who represents Jezebel and has a controlling spirit). We pray,
"Father God in the name of Jesus, Lord please purge (remove) from my thoughts any bitterness, anger, or resentment towards ----name(s). Forgive them for attacking me. They didn't know what they were doing. Renew my mind with healing, forgiveness and love. I forgive them and I love them and pray for them. They CANNOT manipulate me any longer. I pray they receive healing and repent before you. Please heal my heart and take away any demonic thoughts of anger, rage, retaliation, bitterness, or unforgiveness right now, in Jesus's name, Amen."
Offenses WILL Come but Focus on God ONLY
Don't look back at the person or people who offended you. Rebuke their personalities. God will deal with them. He knows all and sees all and while they lie on you and say things you didn't do, always remember, people reap what they sow and MUCH GREATER than they sow. Pray for your enemies because when God's wrath turns on them in their direction, it ain't gonna be pretty.
Keep your heart and mind staid on Christ and His love. Whenever a thought pops up about the person or people, say, "I have a forgiving heart, I am healed, and I walk in love, healing and forgiveness ONLY. I pray for them to be healed." If you have encounters with the person, just quietly and politely walk away and pray, "Lord, I don't let their words cling to me." Even if THEY don't get the hint, it doesn't matter. You're changing and drawing closer to God, and they cannot manipulate you any longer!!!
Stay encouraged and humble and keep reading your Bible more each day! Rebuke the demons of suicidal thoughts, depression, retaliation, unforgiveness, and repeating the past or playing those same tapes or DVDs over in your mind. God is with you, and you are covered in the name and blood of Jesus Christ.
Let nothing block you from your blessings or separate you from all that God has for you!

Thank you for this, I remember when this first started I would say to myself when ever i had an encounter with this person with their offensive and attaching words… no curse will alight and i could remember where I had read it in the bible, in reading and praying the pray you shared, I googled it and its from Proverbs 26:2: Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest.
