Feeling a Little Flat? You Might Need a Self Confidence Boost... July 21 2015

For someone who needs it, your self confidence might be a little flat and in need of a boost. Others may have been tearing your character down for so long that you've forgotten who God called you to be. Maybe you're trying too hard to keep them calm and pacify their mood swings or you're always trying to be a people pleaser. If you're feeding the flesh of other so much that you've neglected yourself, now's the time to change and get back on track. Look for our motivational messages for the rest of June and all of July to help get you back on track... Excerpt from Move from Mood Disorders to Moving Disorder Out of Your Life: If you're super sensitive, crying a lot, angry all the time or bitter, it might not be that you have a mood disorder that you're dealing with, it might just be that you have to move all the disorder out of your life imposed on you by other people. It could be that people are pulling your strings like a puppet to get what they want and you don't want that kind of stress in your life. Stress can kill especially if your confidence is suffering or if you're being bullied and brow-beaten to please others. It's time to cut the cord(s): When the feelings of others are more important or you are trying to please other people too much, you have to cut the cord, stop letting them get their way while you feed their flesh and give them what they want and desire. Then and only then can you recenter yourself to hear from God and know what He has for you. The way to do that is to:
  • Stop enabling others and ignore their pity party and mood swings
  • Disable their bad behavior by cutting the cord - and walking away
  • Let go of people who latch onto you and intentionally bring you down
  • Get back in touch with God - More intimacy with God, not man
  • Redefine your position, passions and purpose
Hebrews 12:11 reads, No discipline at the time seems pleasant, but later on it will produce a great harvest.  In the Bible, we have to die to the flesh, that means not feeding that voice that says, "More, more, more." The flesh will also argue, dictate, lecture, act spoiled, throw temper tantrums and if you find that you're dealing with someone who always has to be comfortable and if they only feel that way when you please them, it's time to let go. You might even be fasting and praying to draw closer to God, but if other people aren't, and they continue to feed their flesh, that's the equivalent of living with a junkie and thinking you will have a normal life. You're feeding their addictions. Sometimes you have let people go so you can better be able to stand on what God has for you! Don't worry, they'll be okay. Hopefully when you let go they'll grow up and realize it's time to start drinking milk and stop latching onto you.
