Something Big is Coming Your Way - Our Father's Day Message... June 12 2017

I was posting this message for Father's Day when I heard the Holy Spirit say to turn on Joel Osteen. As I listened in, I was so happy to hear it mirrored the message I posted online for Father's Day. I smiled thanking God for confirmation! Pastor Joel's message was for fathers, but also a reminder to those who are without their fathers to stay encouraged. David was rejected and so was Joseph - but remember, there are no accidents or mistakes with God. Sometimes, God himself will allow people to reject us so He can set us apart for Himself.

The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone...

In the New Testament, Jesus was rejected. While He was on assignment, He was working for His Father (God), and yet rejected by people, but that was part of His assignment - to show them love. While your dad may have left and abandoned you, God is always with you and He will always be your Father. When people say you can't do it or that you aren't talented enough or educated enough, God says, "I have equipped you" and "With me, all things are possible." Know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Your destiny in life isn't predetermined by your history. That means it doesn't matter if you came from small beginnings or not, you can overcome every obstacle and become someone great. Sometimes that thing you are lacking is so you can share it with others. While you might miss love from not having your dad, you can share love with others who may need someone kind and loving just like you in their lives. Share your love with others and know that Father God is with us always. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

We're sharing a very inspiring message from Pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen and pray it inspires you today!

Scripture

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?”
(Isaiah 43:19, NLT)

Word from Pastor Osteen

The God we serve is not a small God. His plan for your life is not for you to reach one level, get stuck and stay there for 30 or 40 years. His plan is to increase you, open new doors before you, and take you places that you’ve never imagined. He has something big in your future! He’s already planned out big breaks, big opportunities and big ideas for you. You may have seen God’s goodness in the past, but you have not touched the surface of what God has in your future! God is about to do a new thing!

And what I sense in my spirit is the new thing is going to be far greater than you’ve ever seen before. It’s going to be bigger than you imagined. It’s going to be more rewarding than you thought possible. Now you’ve got to come into agreement and say, “Yes, God, this is for me today. I’m not going to get stuck where I am. I’m not going to go around with little dreams, little goals. I know You’re a big God, and You have something big coming my way!”

Prayer

Father God, thank You for loving me and choosing me for Your good purposes. I choose to set my affection on You today knowing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Give me Your peace and strength as I wait patiently on You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Prayer of Salvation
If you haven't said the Prayer of Salvation, now's the perfect time: Father God in the name of Jesus, Lord, I ask forgiveness of my sins. Please come into my heart. I turn my back on sin and I make you my Lord and Savior. I want to follow you for the rest of my life. Please give me eternal life through you in Jesus name, amen.

Re-dedication to Christ Prayer
If you need to rededicate your life to Christ because you feel like you've been sinning or haven't been living right, pray: Father God in the name of Jesus, I ask forgiveness of my sins and I turn my back on sin. Please help me to overcome ---- and I want to lead a better life through you. I decree and declare this day I have overcome ---- and I have the victory in Jesus name, amen.
Stay in God's shadow, stay away from sin and temptation, keep reading your Bible and keep seeking God first.
